Front Porch Portraits
in the time of COVID-19
Front Porch Portraits is a trend that has gone viral among my fellow colleagues nation-wide. Doing them has become a novel way to document this unique time in our history that we are now living in, the COVID-19 pandemic. These special portraits capture the human experience of being together as we physically separate ourselves from the world around us through social-distancing.
From this humble idea many opportunities arise. It’s an opportunity for people to have keepsake portraits that document themselves during a pivotal time in our history that can be passed down for generations to enjoy.
It's an opportunity to show my gratitude by giving back to the amazing community of Valley Village that I have been so fortunate to be a part of. It also allows me to keep doing what it is that dearly I love: photograph people and tell stories!
Always Safety First
An important feature of how and why this works is that I use long (telephoto) lenses that keep me a good10 to 20 feet away, which keeps us all safe and healthy.
