Before we dive into the highlights from 2025 Santa Mini Sessions (coming up in the next blog article), I wanted to take a moment to look back at one of my favorite holiday family photo sessions from last season at Hagle Christmas Tree Farm in Ventura County.

Full of love, adventure, and kindness, their work in animal care and wildlife conservation continues to make a meaningful impact in the world. It is always an honor to photograph families whose values and connection shine so naturally both on and off camera.
Ventura County Family Photography with a Timeless Holiday Feel
Despite their incredibly busy schedules, this family arrives at every session calm, prepared, and ready to simply be together. There is no rush, no pressure, just genuine family togetherness and joy. That ease is reflected so clearly in their images and is one of the many reasons I love working with them year after year. This approach is intentional, as a calm and unhurried session allows genuine connection to unfold naturally and results in images that feel authentic and timeless.
Capturing Genuine Connection During Holiday Family Photo Sessions
I have been photographing this family since their oldest child was a baby. Over the years, the little ones have grown into confident, creative participants in our sessions. They feel comfortable with me and are always eager to share their own ideas for poses and moments they think would make a great photo. I truly love hearing their suggestions and incorporating their creativity into the session. It adds such a personal and meaningful layer to their images and makes the experience even more special for everyone involved.
With years of experience photographing families throughout Ventura County, I have learned how to create a relaxed, welcoming environment where children feel comfortable being themselves and families can truly enjoy their time together.
